Twisted Paper

A natural progression to sculptural works happened when I was frustrated with a watercolor. I started cutting it into strips and twisting the strips. I realized quickly that as I twisted the strips, I needed to paint the back side of the watercolor and then have another painted piece of paper to be the background for the twisted paper.
